I shall not sit here and give you a lecture on why you shouldn't eat meat.. why you shouldn't attend the circus, or wear fur items.  Instead, I'd like to present videos to those of you who are unaware of the conditions that animals go through for human consumption, entertainment, expieriments, and clothing.  Animals are living things capable of ( Read more... )

I didn't know about cirus. I don't go though because of clowns. I don't go to most Zoos because of the animal care. I think you need to be a zoologist. Seriously.

I'm curious about leather? Do you use only non leather shoes and things? I've been trying. It's not easy.

I want to thank you for getting me refocused on my personal beliefs and why. I flat out refused to go to Out Back tonight, because family orders for me. You've been good for me, Sweetness!! <3

Well, think of it like this: Because animals do not naturally ride bicycles, stand on their heads, or jump through rings of fire, whips, electric prods, and other tools are often used to force them to perform. Tigers and lions usually live and travel in cages 4 feet by 6 feet by 5 feet, and the smaller and poorer the circus, the more limited it becomes for the animal to access food, water, and veterinary assistance. The circus is definitely NOT 'the happiest place on earth' behind the circus tents.
I wear only non-leather items, proudly.

You are very welcome my love! I'm so thankful to have you in my life, since we share such similar beliefs and we have such a strong spiritual connection. You are without a doubt, the big sister I never had. I love you :)

the fur videos affected me the most first..i watched the meat one with you before and it was during a time in my life when i didnt really care about much..and it didnt affect me..but now to know animals are caught and killed JUST for fur..wtf..and that opened me up to the meat eating part as well..i wouldnt ever claim vegan because i know i couldnt eliminate animal products from my life..at least not right now when there isnt an equal ammount of animal friendly products as there are pro cruelty products (That i know of anyways)..but i made my first move by not eating chicken tonight..it has really opened my eyes..i cried over it..its so fucked up. i will eat meat but no beef or pork or chicken..maybe a lobster like once a year or something..i feel it will do enough on my part..not that i should do bare minimum..its a lot more than some "vegetarians" do..i love you so much and thank you to whichever friend it was that i saw these videos from in the first place..thom----- cant recall the rest.

You are thinking of 'thomonafriday', otherwise known as the lovely Jordanna. Its really touching to me to see you open your eyes to such issues. I mean, you aren't viewed as the most compassionate person in the world, yet you have such an enormous heart.. which is the reason I am so in love with you. I'm sure when we started dating, you weren't ready to be in such a serious relationship with a vegetarina, prolife, animal activist opinionated girl.. but, you got me, so you must deal with it now! :) I love you ross. Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and unconditional love and support.

aww baby..i dont deal with you..i love you and i want to be with you!!! thank you for showing me what most people are still unaware of..i dont think that the peta videos are biased..which is the good thing..it seems to be just hard facts/evidence of animals being completely "raped" so to speak, their whole lives. i dont get where humans come off as so superior..i wish people in the industry had the tables turned on them..id love to see the animals get revenge on them. im not so innocent but that was before..now i will work to change that. thank you for being with me and i will always love you and support you. *kisses*

You have my respect for this, Ross. I know it's a HUGE sacrifice for you.

I'm actually one step below bare minimal. I'm still eating free range more humanly killed meat, but I will stop that as soon as I have more money.

I'll always eat yogart but I'm working VERY hard to learn to make soy or rice milk yogurt.

I have some recipes for meat substitutes I'll send you and Kelly. :)

Imitation lobster is fairly close if you get a decent brand. It's fish but not boiled alive like lobster. I'll steam some when I'm visiting and see what you think <3

heartbreaking. ):

i had to take off of my headphones and turn away during the part where the guy had shot the pig in the head and it was squealing and writhing on the floor.

damn, i hope i can be vegan someday.

i love you and your strong caring opinions, kelly. (:

Yes, it is extremely heartbreaking. I can't bare to watch half the videos up there.. but then again, I am well aware of what happens. These videos are for those who are completely oblivious to how animals are captured, tortured, and used for various human convieniences. I'm also hoping to become vegan someday.. but at the moment, I cannot claim veganism. I am slowly working in stages, and hopefully I can be completely vegan some day.
I love you Jordanna! <333

I seriously cannot eat meat now. I love meat. I don't know why. But, after seeing these videos, I got really upset. I know ross is an animal lover. I myself, am too. I cannot stand to see any animal in pain. I wanted to kill my soon to be father in law after he killed a stray cat, that ended up being a neighbors. He shot that cat, and then held it up as if it were a prize. Why? He said that it was attacking Tom, his cat. I picked Tom up and held him near David. I said, "Look at this cat. He is a big boy. He knows what to do. He knows how to fight, so let HIM TAKE CARE OF HIM. You are the one that put him outside to be alone, so you should let HIM take care of himself and his territory." So when we got out kittens, which stay in the garage, we had to tell him that if he shoots one of them, I will personally shoot him.

I don't eat that much meat anymore. I like chicken most, and steak once in a blue moon...but that may soon change.
