Giles was always so quick to believe the worst in Angel and to 'punish' Buffy for it, which is why I wanted her to kinda lay the smack down and tell him how it is.

COOL! I really like your transition...and your reasoning for "Buffy's" continued nastiness toward Angel "because he's with Wolfram & Hart." Yeah, right. If she couldn't turn her back on him after he'd done all those awful things to her friends and said all those awful things to her as Angelus, she wouldn't turn her back on him if he said he was trying to conquer evil from the inside. Talk about your continuity errors! Stupid writers.

Almost as bad as when they had Spike attempt to rape Buffy. I thought that was completely out of character, too, after he'd spent almost three seasons busting his ass to keep the Summers women safe from harm, not to mention him telling Buffy point blank, "I don't hurt you." Come ON!

Yeah, the writers pissed me off quite a bit. The whole context in season 5 of Angel, with Buffy not trusting him was so far out of spectrum for her and it made me crazy. Like you said, after everything they've been through, there's no way she would refuse to help him because she thought he "might" be evil.

And don't get me started on the whole Spike disaster. I hated his attempted rape of her and then how they brushed it under the rug in season 7. I mean, you don't open that kind of can of worms and then just try to pretend it didn't happen. They just never should have gone there, there were so many other ways to get Spike in a situation to get his soul back.

I hear you on the soap box, hon. And thanks so much for the feedback! I kind of hated this chapter and am relieved everyone doesn't think it sucks monkey balls.

I just devoured chapters 1 through 8 and I'm feeling a little bit on the anxious side here. Really enjoying the story so far, keep it up and if I must resort to begging to squeeze chapter nine out sooner rather than later I'm prepared to do so. ;)

*giggle* So glad you found the story and that you're enjoying. Chapter nine will be faster for me to write, simply because I've written it in my head about a hundred times. Wow, that makes me sound kinda crazy. *shrug*
