Sometimes I am struck by the strangeness of it . . . being here, in this place. It is strange to be a minority here in Japan. I suppose I am used to being surrounded by people who look like me, who can speak the same language, who like similar foods. Here . . . it is disconcerting at times to look out the window and see a sea of faces so unlike ( Read more... )

I do not believe it is good for a kind human to feel this way, Mina-han.

Mina blinks in some surprise.

Me . . . ? Or the German boy?

You, of course. I do not know this boy, but I do not like those who are cruel to one another.

Tentomon, you are so kind. :) I think this boy is just very bored . . . perhaps he finds me fun to tease because I am uncomfortable and I blush. (I do not know what to do otherwise!) Some do not know when to end a very poor joke.

Sai Yau leans back in his computer chair, Syakomon reading at his side as well. He folds his arms before his chest, frowning to himself. He isn't angered by Mina, but more so at the treatment she is receiving from those few people... especially the one German boy. A girl shouldn't be teased in such a way-- and he wishes very much to give this faceless kid a good smack over the head.

You are a smart and considerate girl, Mina. Don't let those few inconsiderate people ruin your studies or time in Japan.

Syakomon voices a suggestion to his partner to which the two begin to plan in the short amount of time they have to leave a message for their friend before work. Then, Sai Yau finishes his message...Do you have a school or apartment address you can receive mail from Mina? Like, if someone sends you letters or packages through ( ... )

I will not, I promise. :) I think perhaps he has nothing better to do. The others . . . I am truly not bothered greatly; I think it is simply interesting to notice. Perhaps if they were in India, I would have done the same as they do, unthinking. I have just never been a minority before, and it is strange to me.

I do have one! I will leave it for you in a screened post below.

Did this mean that she could be receiving letters in the future? Squee! But best not to get too excited until she knows for sure. He doesn't state his intentions positively, after all.

You are coming to Japan! I would love to see you and Syakomon! That would be so wonderful! What show are you coming to see?

((Sorry for the lateness! I'm trying to catch up on everything after a long week of work. ^^;; ))
