Today we went to upstate New York to get our new family addition. Maximus Decimus Meridius. Our puppy. When I get some pictures on my new digital camera I'll try and upload them but this damn server is a piece of shiet and you have to post pics from another web site. Mom fell down a couple stairs outside and ended up hurting her leg and tossing him

Just curious...what part of upstate New York were you in? We New Yorkers love to fight over what the definition of "upstate" is vs. "downstate"...to my amusement, if you drive five miles in any direction in NY state, the answer changes. Where I grew up, anything not New York City is considered upstate. But in Rochester, upstate is the Adirondack Mountain area at the extreme north, bordering Canada. Oh well. Wherever you went, hopefully it wasn't too traumatic of an experience :)

We were definetly not near Rochester, that's way too far north for us connecticutioners. I think we were in the Fishkill area. that's pretty darn far for us from here near new york. We live near it at the moment.

Yay I know where Fishkill is, but you're right, it's nowhere near Rochester. I usually drive past it when I'm going to New York (city).

it, at this point, is a remote suburban area of new york, as anything within a hundred miles is :\. Otherland finally brought itself to bear in the story. I have so many ideas about what it might actually be and the idea of the place but i'm letting it come to light itself.
