Don't worry, there are so many people circulating pledges not to buy anything on black Friday (I remember a "Buy Nothing Day" movement at least 9 years ago) that it's practically contrarian to go ahead and buy something on Black Friday.

So you haven't lost your contrarian cred.

And even with all that and with the Walmart labor actions, reports were that this was one of the biggest Black Fridays ever.
