piraterogue and I were downstairs and finally on our way out when someone came into the Hyatt saying there had been a jumper.

I will bet you dollars to doughnuts that it never hits the live wire (media). This sort of thing does happen all too often at hotels. We had a jumper/suicide and attempts when I was assistant manager of a hotel in Oregon, and 90% of our staff did not even know about it.
