The other day I was watching Doctor Who and thinking to myself, "wouldn't it be great if David Tennant was on Parkinson sometime?" And guess what? Tonight, an ad for Parkinson this Saturday night.... and DT is on it!! WOOHOO!!! SO watching that!

Well Chris and I are back to normal life again now. We had our nice trip and our week or so to recover. Now we're back to normal. Well sort of. I haven't done and won't be doing any teaching this week because it's the first week back and most of it will be taken up by the WAIDE Conference in Perth which starts tomorrow. We were only in Launceston for a total of about 17 hours, most of them sleeping, but we still managed to see 2 major attractions.

We left Cradle Mountain and headed for Launceston, about a 2 hour drive away. It was a beautiful drive through windey mountains and green farmland. We stopped for lunch in a town called Deloraine and had a massive lunch. ( Read more... )

Part 3 of our journey finds us at the beautiful extinct volcano of Cradle Mountain. It's somewhere I have wanted to go since I was little, so it was great to finally be able to see it.

After seeing Port Arthur and Hobart, we moved on to the small tourist village of Strahan (pronounced Straughn) on the west coast of Tassie. There are lots of pics of Strahan, so please find them under the cut.

This is just a short post to say we're back!!! We had a fantastic time in Tassie, despite the cold. Actually we were really blessed to have good weather almost every day. It's such a beautiful place, I had no idea there was so much beautiful scenery there. Everyone must go ( Read more... )

That's right! 2 days left until we're in Tassie. We leave on Thursday about 1pm and arrive in Hobart about 9pm their time. Looking forward to it but I'm a bit nervous and hoping the weather calms down in time for the flight. Eek ( Read more... )
