Or at least, Kim hopes he will be.

She's got a cup of coffee at one hand, and is holding the phone handset to her ear with the other.

Ring.

Hopefully she won't have to leave a message.

Dave's headed out the door on a laundry run when the phone rings.

For a second, he debates not answering it - if it's important, whoever it is will leave a message - and then sighs and shifts the bag against his side with one hand, grabbing for the phone with the other.

"Hello?"

"Hi."

He can't see her smile over the phone, but it's probably clear from her tone of voice anyway.

"- hi," Dave says, a smile creeping onto his own face, and sets the laundry down on the ground.

"How's the old country?"

"Getting older?" she laughs. "No, I'm kidding, it's pretty much the same as it has been."

"How about over there, with you?"
