So, I'm pretty much fed up with the fucking dog hunt. Either we find a dog we love, and can't get due to various reasons. Rejected cuz of having cats, rejected cuz the people are clueless on vacinations, never even contacted back, (this is the most frequent!!!) or the dog is already adopted. In one case, the people decided to not go through with it

Hell, it's not that hard to get a dog here, either. I've never heard of having to go to such lengths to find a dog. You've tried looking in the paper for individuals trying to find new homes for the dog they already have? I know here, there are always lots of ads for adult dogs people are unable to keep for one reason or another.

My brother went out to the *flea market* a couple months ago and got an adorable and well behaved dachsund puppy on the fly for $250.

It just stuns me about the trouble you guys have experienced trying to find an animal that the country has an overpopulation of already.
