The night I made an offer on the house, we received a counter within 2 1/2 hours. I offered 19 less than asking, I know that seems really low, but the house has sat empty since last October. They jumped back and countered with "their best offer" which only brought it down 6 thousand. I consulted with my financial advisor, (my Dad) and he said

I hope that they do, but I don't think that their counter offer was very realistic so I am not going to hold my breath. I suppose that they could have been so insulted by my lowball offer that they figure I am lucky that they responded at all. It is the most stressful thing that I have done so far. I have heard that building is even more stressful. Everyone I have talked to about their building experience said that they almost ended up divorced.

Ah! Fate always had her way. If she doesn't, she get VERY pist. But be very careful. I heard that Fate was married to Murphy, you know that guy that came up w/ Murphy's Law.

Well Fate has certainly gotten a hold of my complexion. The only way I can think to describe it is to say that right now it looks like I am growing out the side of a zit. Not so pretty.
