I seriously have to consider donating to this guy's campaign. He's got the right mindset, as far as I can tell from the comic. I doubt he'll win, as the political machinery will grind him into dust. But I support the ideas.

Pretty much how I was looking at it. Hell, it's $9. He probably won't win, as I imagine the folks who elected the standing guy don't share the XKCD sense of humour, but wouldn't it be lovely if he did?

Or a the very least, be able to put up a strong campaign. Many in office don't win the first time out. It's a learning process. I've gone through it myself. Still managed to get 2% of the county vote, even though I technically dropped out of the race (moved to DC some 5 months before the election).
