I paid 12 dollars to see a movie tonight and that movie had to be Cold Mountain. In short, I'd like to state that Renee Zellwegger won me over (she's annoying, but funny), that Nicole Kidman is rather gratuitous with her nipples (seriously, what kind of nipple agreement does she have in her contract?), and that Kidman and Jude Law couldn't light ( Read more... )

I wanted to see if it was worth the Oscar, but you're right. 5 bucks in Old Town Pas could've done me that.

Stir Fried Mexican, then.

Hey dude, I noticed you list both screenwriting and USC as interests on your profile. Are you at all enrolled in any of the writing programs at the University of Southern California? I ask because I hope to apply there in a year or two, and I'm wondering if their film program is as good as I've heard? Mind if I add you to my Friends List?

I'm a Communication major/ Ethnic studies minor there, but I have a close friend in the writing program and a roommate in the Cinema program. I haven't crossed a Screenwriting major, yet.

The film program at usc IS really that good. The introduction to Cinema critical studies class is among the best classes offered at SC, nearly everyone regardless of major takes it. Comin to SC for the program is most definitely worth it.

The writing program is among the top ten in the country (so I've heard), but I really don't know much about that.

Good luck with that, hope I helped. Don't mind Friend-ing LJs at all.

Not to be annoying, but is your roommate in the School of Cinema-Television Production? That's the major I'm hoping to study, but I have no clue where to get started (portfolio, etc.) once I'm ready to apply. When your next semester begins, would you be willing to ask him if I could maybe get some pointers on putting together the best application?
