[When the feed turns on, it shows only static at first, but it soon clears up to reveal China, clad in his military uniform and the lake behind him. There's a frown on his face.To whoever is in charge of this place, I don't have time for your games or your strange devices, aru. I must return to China immediately

China-san.

...I am certain others will help China-san and fill him in on the rest.

However, don't think that I'll be letting my guard down even for a second, aru. I... What is that noise?
[In the background, a faint low moan can be heard and it didn't sound human.]

There are monsters. [He saw that Seifer was on his way... He wondered how close. ... He couldn't go help China himself. He doubted it would be accepted. He wasn't going to offer.]
Ah... your body is also limited from a chip placed inside of it.

[Hey, China was superstitious, he'll believe that monsters bit. Besides, he's never heard a noise like that before.]
Chip? [Ah, time barriers. He doesn't know what that is yet. Although, he was wondering why he's been feeling weaker.]

It is a small item that suppresses any sort of super-human skill or ability. The scientists placed it in... [He nearly mentions that it can be removed... and then stops. His is removed. China doesn't need his removed.]

No wonder I've been feeling strange since I woke up, aru.
[In truth, China is not sure whether Japan is telling the truth or not, so he's trying to keep questions at a minimum. At least all the important ones.]
So.. how long have you been here, aru?

Time works strangely. I arrived here while it was 1904 and spent some six plus months growing used to the setting. Being absent merely a week in this place allowed thirty six years to pass at home.
...China-san was here once before. From a future date.

Yes, you're the second person to tell me that, aru.
However, that version of me was from his time, and I am from my time. And in my time, I have a war at my doorstep, aru.
[Had he been from a better time, he would have asked all sorts of questions about his future self, but he wasn't. The only thing he was focused on was the present war.]

If you could last here for six months, then so can I, aru.
[He believes that single sentence conveys most of the things he would like to say out loud: He did not want to be here, but since he has no choice he will make the most of it and survive. And maybe, somehow he will find a way back home. There's a reason he's lived for so long.]

It's somehow what comes to mind, but that's from a lot of healing spent with a future China. It was gone. Erased. This wasn't even now-- this was a few years ago.]
Of course.

I wonder, what you do think of all this? [Maybe, just maybe, one can hear the hidden sadness.]
[But he doesn't even know what goes on in that head anymore. Not since the night he received the scar on his back.]

It is a strange situation, and yet like all other things, it can be learned from. [Learned from... yes. There was so much more that he thought, but that was all he said.]

If a Nation can't adapt, then he or she will not last long, aru. Therefore, I won't let this so-called chip hinder me.
[He was going to say something along the lines of, "I'll find a way to get my abilities back," but... That was best left unsaid for now.]
