My momma(who lives in SC) makes Cowboy Caviar, which is basicly black eyed peas, hot peppers, onion and stuff, like dip for tortilla chips. She says that black eyed peas are supposed to bring good luck, or thats what people of the south say. She usually makes it for xmas eve though when all her friends are coming over.
