I really don't understand how someone can seem to be so supportive of the gay community can be so negative toward the trans community. Still, she seems so adamant to be so bigoted in her views that it does affect my opinion of her.

Yes, it is unfortunate that I don't think I can separate my love of the Harry Potter world from my disgust with the author, so it impacts my enjoyment of the books.
