I went back to the ASDA on 19th May and the loop aisle was closed. Last night (30th May) the loop system still didn't work.
I went to the customer service desk and their loop system didn't work either.
A letter has been written using the RNID sample letters as a guide. I shall post it later tonight. We shall see what happens :).

Last week I got a reply listing all the adjustments they have already made (trained staff, signage, etc, which had all been good at my visit), details of the subtitled screenings twice a week at Wimbledon (about 5 miles away) in case I was interested, and a statement that they had ordered neckloops. The letter was composed by someone illiterate but I couldn't fault the content.
So success I think, assuming the neckloops ever turn up.

I wonder if I will get a list of their "Aren't we great features!" back from ASDA and and reasonable explanation for their inability to work two separate loop systems. My reliable resident ner^H^H^Hgeek says that there was no apparent infrastructure for the Customer Service desk to have an Induction loop - so we shall see what happens.

Usefully at the moment my aids give me enough sound that I don't need to use the loop. So for now I have had that setting reprogrammed to something else (TV/Radio it says on their screen) just to give that a go, when I go back in a few weeks I will probably get it set back to a loop.
Perhaps if I can muster the enthusiasm I will start getting anti about non working loops, as I know I will need them working one day.
