I had head-hole drilling surgery at about 11:30 today. All is well so far, I have a big pressure bandage to keep on until Sunday (yes in this heat). I go back to see my doctor on Wednesday to check everything is healing properly.

kimble is the best partner in the whole world.

Should I have surgery, I think I need to schedule it for winter. Bandages in summer are not fun.

At least this isn't a plaster of paris wossname on for MONTHS. I had one plaster (replaced once a month) for over 15 months as my doctor didn't trust my wrist to behave. Cumulatively I reckon I've spent several years of my life with one or other hand in plaster.

At Geneva airport to collect P. Using a shiny G5 which is sitting there waiting for ppl to use it. It has what may well be THE most annoying mouse ever devised by humankind. But still cool to play on :)

Reminds me, I need to reinstall a MacOS to test something at some point today.... I appear to have taken the harddrive out of my G4 and put it in something else ;)

I know it's BAHA-related, but what's the purpose behind it? I thought you already had one, unless this is an improved implant?

I think she's getting one the other side so she can have sound in stereo. Could be wrong though :)

Indeed - it's a second abutment the same as the first (though the surgical procedure has changed a lot), so that she can have a second BAHA on the opposite side.

Stereo might be a bit optimistic, but it should give her a little bit more sound overall (barakta uses every last dB she can get), as well as eliminating the dead zone on her left side.

P.S. Glad it went ok! :) Perhaps you and kimble should install an air vent in the bandage or something ;)
