OK. The last idea of making the nomination stage by LJ-poll was a bit short-sighted. I had hoiped to be able to coerce the LJ-Poll mechanism into doing some things that it obviously was not designed to do.

So, with that in mind I have decided to make the Nomination Stage by REPLY TO THIS LJ POSTING!

If you have ALREADY NOMINATED YOU DO NOT HAVE TO NOMINATE AGAIN... UNLESS YOU FEEL TO DO SO!

Your nominations for best "Alternative" club, venue and person of the year 2006 are requested. By "Alternative", I mean anything not necessarily "mainstream" so gothic, electro, industrial, rock, fetish, cyber... that sort of thing.

The Rules:

• To nominate an entry, REPLY TO THIS POST
  
• You can make upto THREE NOMINATIOMS PER CATEGORY. Only the first three will be considered.
  
• You can change your nominations as many times as you like. ONLY YOUR LAST NOMINATION POST WILL BE CONSIDERED.
  

The categories are:

• Best club night
  
• Best club venue
  
• Best live act
  
• Best person (artist/DJ/promoter/other)
  

I have closed the Biggest/funniest mistake of the year? category because some of the nominations were a bit close to the mark (although some of them were howlingly fukken funny!).

You have UP TO THREE NOMINATIONS in EACH category. You do not have to nominate three, you can nominate one if you wish. You also do NOT have to nominate in each category.

These are JUST NOMINATIONS. At the end the entries with the HIGHEST NUMBER OF NOMINATIONS will be put forward to a poll.

To be eligible for nomination, the person, band, club or venue MUST have been ACTIVE AT SOME TIME IN 2006! So the person must have performed (or organised or..), the band must have played a gig or released copy, the club (or venue) must have been open.

Nominations will end Dec 11 at 12:00(GMT).

After that, I'll count up the nominations and the (hopefully) three highest nominated of each category will go through for a vote (by you!).

Voting will begin Dec 13 at 12:00(GMT).
The final results will be announced on Dec 20 at 12:00(GMT).
