Another thing for the "E-Books should be much much cheaper than Print books" crowd... Amazon not only take a 30% cut of the gross, but they also charge publishers 10p per MB on every download! So not only do ebooks have the same fixed production costs, they pay for data-warehousing and shipping too!

Yes, but if I buy a print book for £20, I can read it for a limited time and (if I can find someone willing to pay) sell it on for £10 later. For those of us for whom books are expenses, we often do factor in that "resell rebate" when deciding whether to buy. I can't do that with an ebook -- and unless DRM makes a comeback, that's not likely to change.
