Invest in a bread maker machine. Best idea ever. I love programming it so we wake up to fresh bread in the morning.

I toy with the idea every now and then, but I'm kind of negative since we have a 50's kitchen with almost no cupboard or shelf space :( I've been given some no-knead recipes that are supposed to be fantastic, though.

Trying to reform my hoarding ways, I'm also wary of bringing any appliance in to the house that has only one use, unless I could absolutely guarantee without a doubt that it would be easy to use, as well as used constantly. It's definitely a thought, though, I'm sure by the time the new baby starts eating bread, we'll be going through as much as a small bakery!

Rolls? They're less crusty than loaves of homemade bread, and you can still use them for mini-sandwiches and so forth. Less good if your family is into toast, but they heat up in the microwave pretty well.

With the amount we go through, the issue is really 'space' most of the time. I don't think the Boy or the Monster mind rolls, but would probably still eat bags on bags of them if given the chance.

Next weekend we're going to go find a small chest freezer for the basement so we can actually store some of the stuff we buy properly. The fridge freezer gets opened too often to work very well, and a lot of stuff gets ruined because of that.
