Vista is just awful awful. Lots of companies are choosing to stay with XP until M$ comes out with whatever's next. So many that M$ may be forced to extend its EOL on XP! The DRM embedded is just nightmarish, apparently, and its a massive resource hog. Dont even think of running it on less than 2GB of RAM. Graphics and music? At least 4GB RAM. OK, thanks for your input. That's been my instinct about Vista as well, but I was thinking maybe I'm just being paranoid... but you're right, they're still running XP at the QUT computer labs and also at my new job, which is telling, I suppose. And, I do only have 1 GB of RAM, so Vista would be choking on my laptop, if what you say is true about the memory requirements.

XP it is!
