[Leliana wakes up in an unfamiliar bed wearing strange nightclothes. She sits up and looks around, recognizing exactly nothing that is in the room with her. Sun shines in from the window and a few birds are singing outside, but those two things seem to be the only things that tie back to any sort of reality that she's familiar with

Leliana? Is... that you?

[She nearly drops the phone in surprise.] It talks!

[...wait. She knows that voice. She's only been listening to it for months now.]

Alistair?

Why is your voice coming out of this thing?

*He lets out a small sigh. Well at least it was someone else he knew this time!*

It's called a phone. You can talk to people on it, even if they are miles away! It's quite amazing really.

[bard_of_orlais]

A phone? How very strange... [It must be enchanted in some way, if that's the case. She gives it a long, long look.]

Where are you?

[lasersallover]

[suddenly, a crash in the kitchen]

[bard_of_orlais]

[That doesn't sound good!

Leliana goes to investigate.]

[lasersallover]

[Your new daughter is digging in the top cabinet and there are pans all over the floor]

[bard_of_orlais]

[Um. Okay.

Leliana approaches slowly and tries to see past the girl and into the cabinet itself.] What is it you hope to find in there?

[ponypuncher]

I asked the same thing when I got here, lady. It's a tele-phone. Ya can talk to people that aren't around ya.

It's a most... curious contraption.

Do you have any idea how it works?

[ponypuncher]

Not a clue. They don't have 'em where I come from.

[bard_of_orlais]

I see. I suppose I should have expected such an answer, having never seen such a thing myself. Does anyone who is here know about how they function, do you know?

[There's a man in the living room. He's the one in the photo's and he's reading a book and muttering something about a stupid American bastard as he flips the pages.]

[bard_of_orlais]

[Leliana stops and gives him a long look. She has no idea what he's talking about--American?--but she certainly recognizes him. She keeps her distance and stays on-guard, just in case. He must be involved somehow, since he's so calmly going about his business.]

Who are you?

[commie_island]

[He glances up at that. Blinks, and is very confused now.]

Wha...where did you come from?

[bard_of_orlais]

Up there. [She points up the stairs.]

Now, who are you? And why are there so many portraits of you and I together?

[rogue_crow]

Ah, Leliana! We seem to all be falling together in this place, one by one... [Zevran doesn't sound particularly surprised to hear her, but after everything he's seen in Mayfield, he's pretty much over the whole being surprised thing.] But how very cruel of this place to withhold your beauty for so long!

[Even in Mayfield, Zevran is Zevran.]

[Oh, Zevran. Don't ever change.]

Zevran? Is that you?

And I don't know what you're talking about. It has only been a few days since we last saw each other. I didn't think you would start missing any of us so quickly, especially since you are still in the company of Alistair and our dear Warden. [Well, was. Alistair is somewhere here, too.]

A few days for you perhaps, but a month or two for me. Time is rather strange here.

...how is that even possible?

Well, if that is the case, I imagine that you must have been given a 'family' here as well. I hope you haven't been giving your fake wife too much trouble. [There's a hint of a smile in that last sentence. Knowing Zevran, he has.]
