I'm trying to work out a set of ghost stories for children (ages 7 and up) for a science fiction convention this weekend, and would appreciate advice. How scary is too scary?
Personally, I would say steer clear from anything too gory, but then again some kids are completely disillusioned by something like that. I'm not sure numbers 10-13 on the list would be ok for children, but 1-9 and 14 all sound ok by what descriptions you have given. Best of luck! @~>~~
When I was young (back in the 80's) the "Scary Stories for the Midnight Hour"/"Still More Scary Stories for the Midnight Hour" were all the rage in my GSToup. I still have my dogeared copy.
Maybe you can find a copy at your local used book store? The stories *Were* scary--- Talypo being one of my long-lasting favorite to this day. *shudder/chills* And I even found it online for you! :D http://www.scaryforkids.com/tailypo/
