On almost a daily level I find myself in awe that some people were ever able to achieve getting a driver's license.  Normally my rants are restricted to the usual "two slow folks driving the same speed in either lane" troubles, but today was different.  Today involved lights and sirens.

you sooo need to come to new york sometime and see how ppl act around emergency vehicles in new york city. oh my god...it's horrible! most of the time people can't pull out of the way because there are parked cars on either side of most streets, but even when they can, they just sit there, looking at the fire truck/ambulance and don't move an inch. i've had this conversation numerous times with people, and you're right, it's ridiculous. the really annoying part about nyc though is that i would bet money that the same people who don't move out of the way for emergency vehicles are the same damn people who complain about the slow response time of those same vehicles to emergencies! bah!
