I haven't bought anything for myself, just for pleasure in a loooong loooong time. I most certainly have NEVER spent this much on any one thing for myself. My corset was the closest thing at 200 dollars. I just purchased a canon rebel. Ouch to the pocket book, I felt a little shaken after typing in my pin and stressed when I couldn't immediately

Getting better at photography is all about playing around and never stopping. Keep messing with settings, keep taking photos.
The shots you've gotten already are really neat.
