Caitlin gave herself a haircut the other day.  She walked up and handed a handful of hair to me.  Luckily you can't really tell when I have her hair combed.

I have so much cleaning to do today.  My FIL is comming over tonight and I don't want the house to be a total disaster when he gets here.  I also have to blanche some green beans to freeze.  ( Read more... )

The last cat that was "mine" growing up was put to sleep last Friday.  He suddenly became very sick and after a lot of testing it was decided that he had a very agressive cancer that didn't do well with treatment.  So instead of letting him suffer anymore my mom decided to go ahead and put him to sleep.  I agree that it was the right decision but I ( Read more... )

Gabriel is five weeks old now and in those five weeks I have only been able to get one usable picture of him.  Every other picture is blurry beyond being usable.  It's starting to really piss me off.

I hate post baby mommy body.  I'm waiting until the end of this week before I start exercising but I can't wait to get rid of the flabby belly and jiggly thighs and butt.  I've lost 20 something lbs since Gabriel was born, but I've still got about 20-25 to go before I get to my goal weight.  Time to break out the excersise videos again.

On Thursday I had my 41 week midwife appointment.  Everything was looking good, but I was exhausted.  I'd been kept up by contractions for a few days now and I felt like I was breaking down.  I couldn't move anymore without being in a good deal of pain and it was making me feel like I was going to lose my mind.  I asked Linda if she could sweep my ( Read more... )

Gabriel was born at home this morning around 7:55.  He weighs nine lbs, is 22 1/4 inches long and has a 14 1/2 inch head.

Labor was much longer and harder than I expected, and I'll update more about that later with pictures.  Now I need to go take a shower and then cuddle and nurse my baby.

Still pregnant, still lots of contractions, still no cervical change for the last month.  I've been at 1 cm and 50% effaced for months now.  Oh well.
Tomorrow we'll be going strawberry picking again and then having sushi for dinner with some friends of Andy's from High School.  Should be a fun day.
