sometimes I feel I've got to -bompbomp- get awaaaay

So spring break is less than a month away, and this year I (along with some amigos) have decided to call off a big trip. Last year's Florida trip was a blast, but I don't know if I'm up for something like that again, + it was expensive. Frankly, I'm exhausted, and driving somewhere for >10 just doesn't sound like fun - no matter the destination ( Read more... )

I will certainly go with whatever you propose, as I adore random trips.
I like how you've been to every Southern State EXCEPT Alabama. :D

Well if everything works out with departure/destination sites, we'll talk more. I still have to see if I have to make reservations or anything, and if I can def. take the van out.

oh! I love the out doors and camping... this sounds like so much fun. I love mammoth cave, kentucky down under, and Cumberland falls. When you grow up in Lexington you go to a lot of those places for field trips but my family and I used to go to mammoth cave every year. Lost river cave really isn't exciting Todd took me once because it's in bowling green and it was a disappointment. Red river gorge is a beautiful place and you can bring your dog( that really doesn't pertain to you i guess:) Another place thats fun to go to is Raven run it's only 20 or 30 minutes away and is really fun for a hiking fix. One more thing... If you were going to do the 6 hour tour at Mammoth you have to make your reservations ahead of time and let them know in advance how many people your taking and stuff like that.

cool! thanks for the heads up! yeah, my mom, sisters and I were going to go to Raven Run this summer for some kid's nature program they had, but they were booked with school trips and whatnot.
Did you also know that there is a Ferry out that way? past Raven Run, until Tate's Creek ends there is totally a ferry that gets you closer to Richmond.

Yeah I used to live in a neighborhood off of tates creek road so at my high school kids would drive down tates creek road to smoke pot... I remember the first time i went to the end of Tates Creek road it was at night with some friends and i didn't know that ferry was there, I thought it was so creepy to come to a dead end w/ an empty ferry just sitting there. anyway I'm pretty sure Raven run is on a different road. I know how they all connect but I couldn't tell you on here... I need my hands to help explain:)
