It had only been a day since the Brigadier had been effectively 'whisked' away from UNIT, unceremoniously deposited in the Doctor's TARDIS for extremely vague reasons - something along the lines of 'finding a note for myself saying to pick you up', which thoroughly did not explain a thing - and the Brigadier was quite ready to go back home. "Anyway, it's a planet called Tphru," Donna explained, cutting the Doctor off. "He says it's some sort of big techno expo-"
"The biggest showing of technological advances in the entire 33rd century," the Doctor interjected.
"Yes, that." Donna rolled her eyes. "But it's got everything! Or it's supposed to. I hope it's not too posh. Is what I'm wearing all right?" she asked, frowning and looking over herself.

"I'm certain you look fine for a tech expo, Miss Noble," the Brigadier said as he stepped over towards the console. "Though I don't see the reason of going..."
The Doctor buzzed over, grinning to beat all. "They've got a military section, Brigadier. Things that go bang, boom, and various other types of explosive noise - and various non-explosive ones!" The Doctor rocked back on his heels. "All the sorts of things to keep a man like you busy for hours."
The Brigadier glanced over to Donna with just the barest expression. It read as this: 'please tell me he's being foolish?'
