In a nutshell, dad went low functioning with a major personality disorder when I was about 12, when I was in need of a more in tact normal male presence. I've surrounded myself with all or almost all women's activities and such for most of my life (dance, girls camp, all women's college and counseling as a profession). Then on top of and as a result of the above I tend to be a bit aggressive and spazzy towards/with guys which leads to very few offers of any sort. This only increases my lovely downward cycle of few positive male experiences leading to a greater distaste.

At the moment this is being brought up because I'm going through boy stuff in counseling and often wind up processing session in the evening afterward so...

PS: as A Russell Sage Alum, all men/boys are just "boys" and boys that are just there for some fun are "boy toys". That being said I've never had a boy toy, and haven't had a boy since 9th grade.

OK spew mostly over...I think

heh, no I thrived at my all women undergrad and find female drama tons easier to deal with than anything male.

Counseling also falls at kind of an awkward spot during my week cause its right after internship when I'm usually exhausted and right before classes start when I have to basically shove down anything I'm working through just to get through the week. I also left most of my close friends in upstate when I graduated and online/phone is just not the same :/

And that is exactly why you go for men instead.

Men. Definition: People age 18 or over.

Ahem...instead of "people" I meant "males."

I don't really care about age...any MALE is a BOY and for those of you who choose to remain ignorant and annoying you remain anonymous and have no right to even gain a title such as "boy". "Boy" is a title only bestowed upon those honored enough to grace the arm of a WOMAN, or at least garner her affections.

Thanks for the advice...don't really want it, you can have it back.

If you hadn't noticed...I started this post good and angsty, and so maintain the ability to continue with said angst into snarkyness...my journal, my rules.

What the heck?! Who are you, Mr. Anonymous? I'm not registered but I just happened to notice your post. Did you not see her previous comments?!! Are you completely insensitive???? Get the flying heck off of her journal. I'd bet you'd start insulting her if she started making entries about girl drama, makeup, or fashion too, you selfish clod.

Thank you dearie, whoever you are, and I like the use of the word "clod".

Don't worry though I've gotten very good (actually too good) at my ability to be snarky towards those who bother me, especially those of the male gender.

Trust me, if I get too bothered, I'll just delete ;)
