No no my dear, a safe distance from the flames I was not. They burned down my Petco! That was my fucking Petco! And my old job at Best Buy is now a collection of both expensive and toxic ashes.
But my house is fine, bottled up with the same measures "cousin george" advised us to fight domestic terrorism with and I spent some of yesterday decked out in my closest Fallout approximation gear wandering around trying to take decent pictures of the conflagration. I'll see about putting them up; the get up was awesome and if I weren't such a lumpy bastard I'd put a picture of me up, too; fire people don't like it when you're wandering around a fire zone smoking a pipe.
I love me. And I love watching the state fail to address a crisis.
But I'm alive and my citadel remains unbreached and unburnt. I appreciate your concern; you and my mom were the only people who couldn't see the smoke from their house to acquire as to my safety.
