IGNORE ME

Jan 09, 2010 02:19

I finally went car shopping today, and I was lucky enough to find a decent one within an afternoon of searching. Hopefully my car troubles will be over in a week or so, and I can get back to business as usual.

Time for bed, since I'm going to be busy all weekend. Here's that random TV meme that's going around, just 'cause.

Pick your five favorite TV shows (in no particular order) and answer the following questions. Don't cheat!

1. The Venture Bros.
2. Heroes
3. Fringe
4. Supernatural
5. Buffy the Vampire Slayer

1. Who's your favorite character in 2?
It tends to be Sylar, when he's actually doing something interesting rather than being a Saturday morning cartoon villain. But I'm quite fond of Molly, Angela, Mohinder, and a lot of the characters who tend to slip under the radar.

2. Who's your least favorite character in 1?
It's hard to really HATE anyone in the Venture universe, since even the most annoying, despicable, or evil characters tend to be that way on purpose or for parody. So you get characters like Desmond that are annoying, but in a hilarious way, or villains that you sometimes forget are evil because the show gets you invested in their character arcs and personal lives. If I HAD to pick someone... I'm not that fond of Baron Ünderbheit and his minions, I guess, since his episodes were always sort of boring and - unlike the Impossible family - never really went anywhere past the initial Fantastic Four parody.

3. What's your favorite episode of 4?
Favourite goofy episode: Monster Movie (4x05). Favourite serious episode: What Is and What Should Never Be (2x20). The Monster At The End Of This Book (4x18) is also pretty high up there, because it manages to start off with a very silly, lighthearted premise...and then turn it around into something totally serious and plot-relevant.

4. What's your favorite season of 5?
I'm one of those weird people who liked season 6. Other than the "MAGIC IS DRUGZ!!!1" thing.

5. Who is your favorite ship in 3?
I pretty much do the OPPOSITE of shipping people on Fringe. I actually liked the show 100% MORE after Olivia's boring boyfriend was finally written off. Every character relationship in that show - colleagues, father-and-son, friends, whatever - are great on their own, and way more interesting to me than shipping anyone.

6. Who is your anti-ship in 2?
Sylar/Claire. That scene at the end of season 3 was the first time a scene from a TV show made me feel physically ill just watching it.

7. How long have you watched 1?
Since mid-season 1. I don't remember how I found out about it, but I'm glad I did.

8. How did you become interested in 3?
My dad was watching season 1 of Fringe as it aired, and he asked me if I'd checked it out. We've always liked similar shows, and since I live so far away from my family, I like to have something to talk about with them when we chat on Skype. So I snagged all the aired episodes of season 1, and started watching. At first I was mostly watching to have something to chat about with my dad. Then the show actually started getting GOOD, and it wasn't long before I was watching it because I honestly wanted to know what was going to happen next.

9. Who's your favorite actor/actress in 4?
I'll jump on the Misha bandwagon, but Jim Bever and Samantha Ferris also rock me.

10. Which do you prefer, show 1, 2 or 5?
At the moment? 1. The Venture Bros is one of those shows that's only gotten better and more epic with each season.

11. Which show have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3?
1, probably. Their seasons are only 13 episodes each, but Fringe is only on season 2.

12. If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?
The SPN universe is the very definition of a Crapsack World. Interesting place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.

13. How would you kill off your favorite character in 1?
I can't even pick a favourite character, let alone how I'd kill them.

14. Give a random quote from 1.
"IGNORE ME!"

15. Would a 3/4 crossover work?
I don't see why not. Especially since Fringe is so into the alternate universes.

16. Pair 2 characters in 1 that would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple.
LOL, the show does enough of that already.

17. Has 5 inspired you in any way?
Oh, definitely.

18. Overall, which show has a better cast, 2 or 4?
2 has a much bigger cast, so there's more to go around. But from everything I've heard, 4's cast is very tight-knit and awesome, even if it IS aggressively small.

19. Which has better theme music, 3 or 5?
5, as Fringe has yet to have a musical episode.

real life, tv shows, heroes, supernatural
