Theraputic complaining

I was going to write an article talking about how Peter A. David has affected my interest in science fiction throughout most of my life (though I didn't find out until my later he was a writer on one of my favorite early shows, "Space Cases"), but something came up.

tl;dr I crush everything )

Aw, man, that really sucks Bariman. I'm sorry. I don't have any experiece with employment, but if you're really unhappy I'd recommend quietly doing some job-searching (just remember, it might be a bit difficult to find a job with the economy being the way it is right now). If you do find something you want to do, I'd say you should maybe tell your boss, if you're that friendly with him, over a dinner or something. Make it clear it's not him, it's just that you're looking for some different opportunities and such. If not, I'd still recommend telling him that it's not him or his family, it's just that you're moving on. So, there's my inexpert advice. Hope it helps!

From what I overheard at work today, one of the clerks is leaving next week to run some sports complex thing, so they're going to be down to just two clerks. They're supposed to have two people up front at all times to help customers, so with just four people (the two remaining clerks, me, and the other warehouseman) that leaves us in sort of a bind. They've supposedly been looking for a new clerk to replace the fourth guy who retired several months ago, but the bosses/managers are kind of notorious for not getting things done when said things don't actively relate to making money ( ... )
