Well, for the past year I was living in Germany and apparently a lot of stuff has changed since then, at least as far as pricing! Before I was always allowed to substitute mocha into an iced coffee and there was no extra charge. Now apparently things have changed and it has to be rung up, since it's a "specialty sauce," or however they want to spin

Yes on both counts. Especially with the new register system, it charges accordingly and has helped more consistent pricing store-to-store...well, for the most part. Still need that double shot on ice button to come back!

most of me wants to say no, I would not charge another .50 for the sauce on a refill... I don't feel that it is the right thing to do, but I do think it is what the policy would have us do.

i've noticed that some stores charge for WM/M in the IC and some stores dont

Almost everyone I work with does not charge for WM/M in IC which is a very common drink at my store.

It gets annoying and confusing for customers who think they are being over charged

It seems to be one of those rules that it just depends on who you get and who chooses to follow it :/
