I have a barista that always has to go out of their way to correct a customer or make them feel stupid. It's so irritating. Does it really hurt you that much to just ignore a stupid comment? No.
Said barista also just can't figure out why tips are always so low on her shifts.

*shrugs* Guess you'll end up getting said barista fired then, assuming it's something that bugs you and others that much. If the customers are feeling belittled and there is nothing aside from a harmless "just future reference; for your benefit" then that's their problem. You could also asked these people if it really bothers them so much they can't ignore something so harmless. If you feel awesome playing therapist for people that insecure, by all means, go ahead and play.

Well, since I don't need to "get her fired" because it's my store and I'm responsible making sure that she's working to my standards, I guess I'll just keep on doing what I'm doing and trying to coach her out of bad customer service. But thanks for the condescending advice!

I wasn't trying to condescend to you, so I apologise for the misinterpretation. I can see how it came off that way.
