Today was the viewing for Christina's father, and it was truly heartbreaking. Thank you to Charlotte for coming to support Christina, it meant so much more than you can imagine. My dad and mom came and my mom brought me brownies. A fucking thing, emotions

I lost my dad in 2003, albeit under drastically different circumstances. Having the viewing really did help, knowing that he wasn't really with us anymore but that he wasn't just some pile of flesh and bone in a casket.

That's a great piece. Christina's very lucky to have you.

I feel like I should say more, but there's not much else to be said. My greatest sympathies for you both, really. It's one of the hardest things any of us ever go through.

i am glad you're there for her.

i hate the fact that my grandpa was cremated before i got a chance to see him. there's a part of my brain that still thinks he just vanished... unsettling. i hope some strength can be found in the funeral.
