Is it sad or amusing that I think that whole exchange could have been between Jay and I?  I think it still would have made sense :-)

In answer to your question, I'd say amusing. Frankly I think that bit of dialogue was included for modern viewers, something they could relate to re: roommates. ('course, for MR and me it should've been, "Your face!" "YOUR face!" "Face is the best.")

Very true. Their whole back-and-forth dialog was priceless. Not sure if it was always like that (doubt it very highly) but the modern spin on things was very cool:

"Take that out of my face." "It's not in your face, it's in my hand." "Take whatever is in your hand out of my face!"

I still giggle whenever I think of that :-D
