SGA fic

So months ago I promised hinokumo some SGA p0rn. I got about half way through with it and then I fell off the grid. Now I'm back in the saddle again (so to speak) but this one feels weird to me - disjointed, you know? And I don't know if it's because I left it alone for so long or because I'm rusty or because it's just crap (or hell, possibly all three ( Read more... )

I still think it's fabulous.
And this was a good addition:
As he turned to the door, Sheppard gave him the customary farewell, a wry twist of his lips and a murmured, “Rodney.”

Rodney raised his chin in acknowledgement. “Sheppard.”

Beer... any time, babe.

Yeah, that was me belatedly realizing John was making that "You could call me John" comment apropos of nothing. In fact, is that the only dialog in this whole thing? Holy crap. WTF?

I love that exchange--it's very them. I can totally see it.

I like the last lines, too. :)

Thank you! I'm glad you think their actions are true to form. SGA would be easier to write if they'd air some new episodes!!!

Thanks so much. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I struggled a lot with this since I fell off the world for a few months and left this story stranded and lonely. Thanks so much for your kind words!

Because words came easily to Rodney but the right words, real words, they stayed veiled behind double entendres and quantum analogies.

Oh my.
This was just so so great! Props. Many many props.

Oh, thank you!
I'm glad you liked it. I'm trying to get back into my writing now that the rest of my life has calmed down. It's nice to know I haven't completely lost my touch. :-)
Thanks again!

This is a very valid presentation of how they might be in private. I liked it quite a bit. Their insecurities and defensive mechanisms are such that they keep each other at arms length without any effort. It is so sad. If they tried just a bit, they could have something spectacular. That is why I like Sheppard's comment to Rodney. A big part of him wishes for and desires that closeness. Sadly, Rodney is spot-on by calling Sheppard on this distance he maintains. Essentially, Sheppard wants Rodney to make himself even more vulnerable to the Colonel on his terms.

Any chance for a sequel? All it would take is Rodney pushing Sheppard to reveal John and they could start from there. It would take something serious though because Sheppard does not open up to anyone. Heck, maybe Rodney could have a date with someone and Sheppard's possessive jealousy could result in a situation where Rodney gives Sheppard an ultimatum. Though, the Colonel probably wouldn't react well to a threat. :-)

Thank you for your lovely comments!
You've really connected with the chasm that separates John and Rodney, at least in my opinion. ;-)

There is a chance for a sequel or two but I'm not sure when I'll get to them. When I started this one I had originally had two or three sequels roughly sketched out. We'll see how it goes - I'd certainly like to explore this a little more.

Thanks again for the comments!

Very very good. Kind of depressing, but, you know, still very very good! And also hot. :D

Thanks!
It *was* a little depressing, I know. :-(
Hopefully there's a sequel or two coming to sort those boys out.
:-D
