where is the love?

I've been in a fog this last week...kind of numb, floating along, not really paying attention to anything. It doesn't feel like a depression, but it doesn't feeling like living. There is so much suffering in this world and sometimes it's so hard to keep from falling. I feel confused, lost, aimless, yet something is gnawing at me to keep going ( Read more... )

*hugs*

Being homesick is the worst feeling in the world. It's so hard for someone who's never had that feeling the way that you and I have (and others) to fully understand that ache and all that goes with it.

What kind of books do you like?

I like all kinds of books and I go on different "genre-kicks". I might read only murder mysteries for 6 months, then go in the opposite direction and grab a biography or a travel book. If I like a particular author, I usually try to read everything from that person, but unfortunately, my Library here is rather lacking in English language books. I used to work in a Library in the US and I was spoiled for choice with the newest of everything. It was the best Library I'd ever been in let alone worked in ( ... )

I'm in to horror/suspense books mostly but I love stuff like true crime and who dunnit books as well. Anything that makes me want to turn the next page in a hurry really.

I don't really like (okay can't stand) the mushy crappy love story books. Give me scarry stuff any day.

Also I go for the text book kinda thing, where I can learn something. Stuff like the History of Witchcraft or the Knights Templar, that kinda thing.

Should be good for you to try and read books in Dutch. Makes the old brain work ;)But I know what you mean.

We have loads of books and we keep talking about thinning out the collection. I'm thinking if we ever do I'll give you a heads up first and see if theres any that you would like sending your way.

What do you think?

I'm hitching a ride to Brussels with Dirk next Thursday.
Ideas for what to do? I'm thinking museum and a cool lunch place.

Would you be interested in meeting up? Feel free to say no, as I feel kind of strange asking...
We could make a book trade.
