Does violence on tv really influence kids?

Robert Winston's programme, "Child of our Times" is on tv in the background right now and he's talking about whether or not violence on television influences the behaviors of children. I wrote a paper on this topic at university and my conclusion was HELL YES!!! (got an A+ on the paper

The sociological studies end of things base their finding on the "controlled testing" they do with test subjects behind two-way mirrors. Their reported findings qualify things by saying "violence on television may cause violent behavior in children who have a propensity towards violence".

I got my first Masters in "Children and Television" and I kept finding these same results.
