How long does dry pancake batter stay good, stored in the pantry?? I want to make pancakes tonight for supper and have a half full box in the pantry, but am freaked out about having bugs, etc in the box.......

I thought that myself, but not being entirely sure how long the box has been half full, I thought screw it, and went to Safeway. And stopped at the liqour store on the way home and bought a 6 pack of Corona.... woohoo!!
