I'm little and weak, so I don't think I'd be of much help for the Gothtrolling, but I do kow me some P.R., so if you want help with publicity, let me know. By the by, who did you speak with at Metroland? Miriam?
I emailed the story idea to Stephen Leon and he's passing it on to his news editor. He's also interested in the Goth Walk -- assuming we get it off the ground.
I didn't think you were going to be fighting, don't worry... I just know that I'm generally useless when it comes to things like this. I'm psyched you're doing it, though!
Next Tuesday is definatly out for me, I will be shooting bands @ Haven in Northampton...
I might be able to make a couple Tuesdays, if we start it in 2 weeks. After it gets started, I can lead a Wednesday or Thursday walk. But we need to start one day at a time I guess
You don't have to participate. This is a volunteer-only thing. If you were uncomfortable about putting stuff up at night (or when we're out for scheduling reasons) the flyers are available for anyone who asks. All they have to do is put them up at their leisure.
Truth of the matter is the cops are not doing their jobs and our going out into the community with flyers and information will bring attention to this fact. In doing so, we hope to make the police more aware of their inadequacies (or however you spell it). Perhaps, they will then improve their performance.
It's not that I don't believe in or support the idea. In theory, it's a great idea, and I would love to be part of something like that. But I just have a bad feeling about it....I am concerned for your(everyone's) safety. I have heard reports from people I work with of a lot of organized gang activity in that particular area off Central, andI am concerned something bad will happen to you all
