So, I actually have some short stories and essays that I like buried in the archive of my posts. I don't know if I have people stop by my livejournal often, but it probably wouldn't hurt to consolidate my works up top so people can actually read them if they have an interest.
Not my favorite, but I wrote
One Thursday Morning in November of 2000, so it's my earliest work on my livejournal. It was written in segments, every few sentences a different post on a forum. I didn't know what the story was when I started. It was, however, published in a community college student magazine.
This was my first draft, I titled it
Creative Obligation because it was required for a fiction writing class I was taking.
This is the final draft, with the title
Dying on Her Lips.
Here's
Again, With Feeling, which I also wrote for a creative writing class. Looking back at the stories I've finished writing, I only ever managed it because I had a deadline.
The last paper I ever had to write for German Literature,
The Imperialism of a Culture. The last paper I ever had to write for my BA in mathematics,
I don't think I named this. The paper did end with turtles to the end of the page. I was experiencing a certain amount of sleep deprivation at the time.
My required essay when I was applying for a student leadership position at Sierra Summit.
The stories I like best on this list are Dying on Her Lips and Again, With Feeling. However, there are some jokes in the first draft of Dying on Her Lips that I quite liked even though they didn't make it to the final.
