Tomorrow I am going to the hospital visit a family friend who is dieing of cancer. She has less then a week or so to live. I assume this will be the last time I speak to her, and I wish to say something appropriate. Let this person lead the conversation. She is speaking her last words to you. It is not the time for prepared statements. As allegasii says, your gut. ...or your heart.
