Well, had another appointment with my new surgeon at Emory. After all the MRI's, endoscopy, GI series, etc, this is what he had to say

Ok, maybe I'm missing something.. but I would think option 1 would be better, since it sounds to me like option 3 would still be there later??

I'm sorry to hear all of this. I, personally think you should get a second opinion. I worry, given our history of scarring that he would do that and you would get a lot of scarring, which would cause more of the same problems.

I don't think it would work, since I know nada about it.. but are instestines something that you can share?? Just curious since they are very long, so I was kinda curious on whether it was something that maybe a sister could donate part of hers??

For some good news.. Brittany is doing really well in school. She's working PT (~32 hours) and doing well. It just means she doesn't get to spend as much time on the phone with her boyfriend as she would wish. (grin)

Personally I'd do at least part of number 1 and find out what the Eval says. That specialist might give you an Option 4.

Well, I read this entry and the next one... because my journal lists them backwards. Anyway... I like option #3 better than the others also. I hope that it works out. I don't want to see you walking around with an IV and a bag all of your life either.
