I posted this to the Pelican list as part of a larger email. The parts of that email that were private have (of course) been removed, so don't panic. :). Oh, and I did not come up with #8 on my own. That is used by permission

Hello, you don't know me. I just stubmled across you on sca_snark.
*curtseys* My name is Emoni Wintl and I am the Seneschal of the Queen's College of Blessed Herman (forgive me for typing that out in full, the Queen's College part is a new appellation and all shiny and new therefore) and am currently compiling a book of sorts to give to Newcomer's to the College and this lovely Game which we play.
I have a point! And I come to it.. watch me edge towards to slowly not scaring it off.
1 -- Would it be okay to use this, with accrediation of course, as I think it's not just something that applies to the Pelicans, and actually not just the SCA but with a minimal mixing of terms across life?
and;
2 -- I think perhaps these speak to living with grace. I humbly suggest a title along the lines of, "The Graces of Life", or "A Few Simple Graces" if you have not since entitled it yourself.
Well met Lady Emoni, Of course you can use them, as long as you cut and paste them the way I wrote them and plop my name at the bottom. There is more of the same sort of thing on my profile page, feel free to yoink that as well if you think it appropriate.
If you met me even once you would understand that putting the word 'grace' in the title is too ironic. I am the person who just bumped into the table, turned to apologize and spilled something onto my chest and started laughing. Grace has nothing to do with me at all :).
Maybe "Mahin's Guide to Tolerable Behavior" would be better. heehee.
Add another fan to your roster. I'm a baby Pelican from Gleann Abhann (almost 2 months-kind-of-baby) and was just randomly blogwondering today, and... well, here I am. Thanks for that, really. Unfortunately, my description of what I feel encompasses the peerlike qualities tends to begin with the phrase "well, I prefer for people not to suck..." I would very much love to file this in my archives of "things phrased eloquently," since that's not my strong suit at all.
It still surprises me when anyone else thinks something I wrote is cool.
One of the things I like about this is that I can use it in a meeting. Instead of saying "are you fucking kidding me? that person is a hose-beast of the highest order!" I can say "that person does not decrease the stress of a situation and treats others poorly".

I am teaching them to Erin and sharing them with like minded people. I am thinking of it as grass-roots sanity.

With the paragraph that comes just before the list, it does not need a title as the paragraph introduces the list nicely.
I do like the "Mahin's Guide to Tolerable Behavior" though, I will have to think of something.
