oh, the glory of SNES emulation

Dec 18, 2003 01:57

I just spent two hours playing Chrono Trigger on my computer.
Do I feel like a total geek? Yes.
Do I care? No.

Great game. I think the experience is way better when emulated on the computer, especially with a fast-forward key in the slow parts.

Yeah, and especially the feature of being able to save at any point!

I disagree, but I never spent that much time playing SoM. I'll download that one too, and give it a go.

I went through that whole thing last summer. I beat it 6 different ways before I got bored and decided to play a different one. I've been playing Secret of Mana a lot too, and I was playing the old SNES "Shadowrun" game, which is pretty cool (not as good as Squaresoft stuff though). Colossal wastes of time, they are. And very fun too.

I'm planning to devote at least a quarter -- if not more -- of my winter break to playing video and/or computer games .. I bet you can't beat the geekiness factor of that. ;p

haha, I don't really plan things like this ahead of time... they just sort of happen.

although you just got your wisdom teeth out, so you've got an excuse to do nothing but play video games!

how's that going, by the way? feeling alright? still have a mouthful of gauze? man, i don't remember the trip home from the hospital at all. they gave me some good drugs...

See, that just goes to show how crazy I am (the fact that I plan things like this out and the fact that I enjoy planning them in the first place).

I was thinking about that, but then I realized that I don't have the stamina to do that. At least, not at the moment .. it requires too much strategic thinking -- something I don't think I'm too capable of at the moment, heh.

I'm feeling really strange, but I'm glad my motor skills are more or less back to my normal. My mouth is still numb -- is it suppose to last this long? it's already been six hours -- and it hurts. A lot. :/ And I'm gauzed up like no other. Which makes my mouth hurt even more .. I wish I could be knocked out until the pain goes away, but I don't have the drugs for it. And I'm not really that sleepy either ..

If by "they" you mean "hackers" then yes. It's totally a copyright infringement to have this on my computer, but I don't care!
