I've spent the past few days having a great time with LibraryThing. Entered about half my books--the ones I already had in a database that I could just import en masse.

So far, I have:
   - one book in common with Thomas Jefferson (Canterbury Tales).
   - 24 books that only one other person has (all different people though).

Neat-o, we've cataloged ours in the past, but only locally (don't remember the name of the app). Are you doing the entry by hand? We picked up a scanner off ebay for $25. Most of what we have has ISBN barcodes; scanning made the data entry much less taxing.

Yeah, I had previously done all the entry by hand into an Access database. Now, I've ordered a scanner, and I'm waiting til it comes in to do any more entry.
