Birthday brunch today. champagne and everything. went to farmers market early this am and got lots of fresh veggies. greens are beginning to come in. I too am a lover of the leafy greens. Mustard greens, collard greens, swiss chard, pea shoots, even morning glory greens. I don't really care as long as it's green and sauteed with garlic.

The tomatoes are still great, this has been a great year for them. we've been eating farmer's market tomatoes by the ton - the green and yellow tomatoes seem to be especially sweet this year. I'd be surprised if they lasted much longer than another week though. The temperature started dropping precipitously this weekend.

I'm going to be very, very sad in a month or so when the yummy fresh food starts disappearing - or turning into squashes, and we're stuck going to the grocery store again.
