I am cutting this in memory of
geekdaddy 's aversion to woman stuff,
I now have ALL of the things associated with my period which began when I was 9. By the time I was 13 I had martian death cramps (i mean the kind that bring tears and make you want to eject all woman organs from your body.) that would get me sent home from school. My mother's remedy was bourbon. 1 jigger that I was supposed to slug. Hell it worked. Pop that with two midol and I would be out for hours. Then I got older and the cramps disappeared. Then I got headaches through my 20 and 30s although not hugely bad ones with mild cramps. And of course "kill everybody pms." Then in my 40s the migraines and major hormonal fluxuations arrived. Now at the age of 47 I have come full circle. Yesterday I had a migraine, PMS symptoms, AND martian death cramps. Ironically the remedy of my youth, bourbon, cant be used now because that causes more intense migraines. hmm. So thank goodness for the drugs I have been stockpiling. I think I am done with this. Bring the hell on menopause. Lets just get it over with now.
