Remember, back in January John already talked about this - but then nothing came out of it, and both the BBC and Russel T. Davies said they have no idea

Isn't that great news? I am dancing around, how am I supposed to sleep tonight?
I hope the sign on the water tower will still be there at the end of May when I will be in Cardiff for the JB concert!
(I also finally posted the second part of the pantomime report yesterday, haven't done in here yet, but if you want to read it, go here: http://dieastra.livejournal.com/135245.html )
No further infos yet about the others (there are six altogether) Back in January John said each team member gets one and then one team episode. Five (old) team members, that would make sense? Let's hope.
I know many will say "only if it's with the old team" but at the moment, I am just happy that it is back at all, in whichever form. As it prooves Torchwood is not dead, the fans are still there (Tumblr, Twitter and Facbook exploded last night, and the site crashed with all the pre-orders) and if it is successful, who knows what else it might lead to.
Also I have heard only the best about Big Finish so far, so I think it is in good hands. I've pre-ordered all six without knowing what they will be about - that's how excited I am. As downloads, it't not that much money.
"Happily, it's actually more of a Dorian Grey/Dark Shadows style affair - a mix of narration, traditional scenes and a few extra special somethings."
"The great thing is, this is just the start for Torchwood. We have the whole toy box to play with, and we share the continuity from the previous books, comics and audio plays, not to mention the tv series. You can be sure we're looking ahead at with lots of new ideas past these first 6 plays."
Someone also mentioned we might get some of those scripts that were written for series 3 but then never developed. We'll see! I'll certainly keep you updated.
I still don't understand it. Are we talking audio plays with a full cast like the BBC ones or just audio-books read by one actor? If the later will John read all or will each be read by another actor (possible the one of the character it is focussing on? Are we talking the original cast (who will be the sixt character then? Martha?) Or the horrible american cast or new characters or the Torchwood team of another time period? It still sounds a bit shady to me to get excited. I haven't read anything from any other of the original cast that they will be involved - so I remain cautious till more details are revealed. This show disappointed me once too many with not living up to it's promises.
From what I have gathered so far, it will be a mix. Originally John talked about an audio book, and I was a bit disappointed as well, but Big Finish say it will be a mixture of read things, but also real drama scenes - and some extras
( ... )
I'm rather not bying the "Katze im Sack" and wait till more details come forward. Full cast plays would be great but I wouldn't mind audiobooks either as long as they are read by the original cast and playing in the classic TW settings. But I'm not trusting them and maybe I'm a but too doubtful here but why aren't they telling rigth away if they have original cast? It would get them even more cheers, especially from the Ianto fans. Makes me worry that's something else but them.
Fair enough. For me Miracle Day is something that happened... elsewhere. Like a dream, an AU? Easily to be ignored. I mean, who in their right minds think Rex and Esther when hearing the word Torchwood?
This is what I have found:
